NSW Health And Safety Representative (HSR) Training

The Workplace Health and Safety Act 2012 gives Safety Representatives the right to attend formal Health and Safety Representative (HSR) training.

This HSR training course meets the requirements for Health and Safety Representative training in NSW.

Mr Safety HSR training course participants will be trained to meet the requirements of the legislation and become equipped to perform an active and competent role as a member of an WHS Consultation Committee or an OHS Representative in the workplace.

HSR Training Course Duration

It is a Workcover NSW requirement that the Health and Safety Representative training course runs for 5 days.

HSR Training Course Outline

Day 1: Work Health and Safety Framework
Day 2: Consultation, Representation and Participation
Day 3: Role of the HSR in Issue Resolution and minimising risks
Day 4: Inspections, Notifiable Incidents and Incident Investigation (Practical)
Day 5: Provisional Improvement Notices (PINs) and ceasing unsafe work

Certificate

Successful HSR training course participants will receive a certificate of completion. Participants must attend all sessions to be eligible for a certificate.
